Director of Chicago Programs
I Love PAC and what we do! Student trips are all about making memories.
After switching majors in college from Music Education to Business, I've remained active in music performance and administration all of my life while traveling the US extensively for work (80-100 days year/35 years) and enjoying more international travel later in life. There's not 5% of US Cities with a commercial airport that I haven't flown to, nor adjacent areas I haven't explored over the years. I love travel, sharing it, and take tremendous pride in the many places I've been privileged to experience, and the people/travel knowledge I've gained through it.
My role at PAC is mostly "behind the scenes" assisting with marketing, social media, video production, photography, and special projects. My love of travel, music, and the photographic arts makes Performing Arts Consultants my perfect "home" and I so enjoy sharing my knowledge and experiences with the group tours I occasionally escort as well.
I play woodwinds in two community bands, an adult marching band, a "Holiday" wind ensemble, and significantly contribute in leadership rolls to each. For twenty-years I've been part of the Awesome Original Second Time Arounders Marching Band form St. Petersburg, Florida and have served on the board of this unique, active, adult community marching band for the past twelve and as their trip/travel coordinator. It is here I first met PAC, over a decade ago, as they championed this band's performance trips.
In addition to local performances, this 400-plus piece Florida adult marching band has traveled to Washington DC, Seattle WA, San Antonio TX (twice), Dublin Ireland, Walt Disney World, Calgary Ontario Canada for the Calgary Stampede, Savannah GA (twice), Portland OR, Key West FL (3X), to the 2008 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and again to New York City this year for the 2019 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade with 450 marching members plus nearly 300 family members and friends. PAC is taking us there!
At home I founded and champion the "Pinellas Festival of Community Bands" (now in it's fifth year), produce the "Holiday Spectacular" in St. Petersburg featuring the 80-piece Second Winds Wind Ensemble assembled for the occasion, and serve as Vice-Chairman of the Dunedin Music Society dedicated to presenting "live music" in this Florida community. I remain a "band geek" in every positive sense of this phrase and love to fly and travel with my airline employee wife Stephanie.
Make your student's travel memories good ones. Select PAC for your band, choir, orchestra, or dance trips!
